Perfectly Portable Peepers for Dad

Does you dad or husband love to be outdoors? If so, then I have an awesome Father's Day gift idea for him. How about a set of portable peepers? By that I mean mini binoculars.

Perfectly Portable Peepers for Dad

I love this pair of Mini Binoculars from Obliviscar. They are compact and small so they can easily fit into a backpack, or even a pocket. They only weigh .33 pounds so they won't weigh dad down either! (That's less than a smart phone!)

Don't Let Their Size Fool You!

Just because these Obliviscar Mini Binoculars are small, doesn't mean they aren't mighty. They have up to ten times magnification, and a twenty two mm lens. The lenses are high definition with a wide viewing field so you can see it all!

To focus the Obliviscar Mini Binoculars just peer through the right lens, and adjust the center focus knob. The binoculars are adjustable for different sized faces as well.

Great for Hunting, Hiking, and More

Is dad an avid hunter? Maybe he likes to hike. Either way, these binoculars make a perfect gift. Dad can use them to bird watch, take them fishing, and so much more. I got my hubby a pair for Father's Day to take fishing. He loves to fish in the Susquehanna River, and Bald Eagle sightings are becoming more common. They're his favorite bird, and I know he wants a closer view if he sees one flying over head.

Wonderful Gift

The Obliviscar Mini Binoculars come with a carrying case. They also comes with a strap so dad can wear them around his neck. A cleaning cloth and dust air blower are also included so dad can keep his new mini binoculars clean.

Make Dad Feel Lucky This Father's Day

Father's day is just two Sunday's away. If your dad loves to fish and enjoy the outdoors, then we have the perfect gift to make him feel lucky this year! Check out Lucky Tackle Box.

Make Dad Feel Lucky This Father's Day

Our entire family loves to fish, and we go at least once a week. So of course Lucky Tackle Box is a huge hit in this home. I got my husband one for Christmas, and he loved it, so I got him another one for Father's Day. These boxes are chock full of lures for bass, catfish, pan fish, and so much more.

Choose Your Plan and Choose Your Fish

First you need to choose which box you'd like. They have the Regular Lucky Tackle Box, Lucky Tackle Box XL, and Lucky Tackle Box Tournament Series. Once you choose which kind, you will need to pick your species. Depending on the type of box you chose, they have bass, saltwater, multi-species, walleye, and fly. Next you choose your plan. You can get dad a one time gift of Lucky Tackle Box, or you can choose a subscription plan. They have three, six, and twelve month subscriptions.

Lucky Tackle Box ships anywhere in the US for free, and you can cancel the subscription at any time. However, once you open your first box, you won't want too. Each one is packed full of lures, that amount to much more than what you spent on the box. All of which are delivered right to your door. You can't beat that!

My Hubby Loves It!

I gave my husband his Lucky Tackle Box early because I can never wait to give people their gifts. He was very impressed with all of the lures inside. We actually went river fishing last night, and he couldn't wait to try them out. Sadly the river is quite high, and very muddy and riled up. So nothing was really biting. But we're headed to the lake in about a week where he will surely be nailing bass left and right.

Our son Liam doesn't like to fish with lures, but when he saw the imitation worms, he was stoked. He chose the Zman Finesse Worms, and just slapped it on his hook like you would a real worm. That little bugger brought in a twenty-two inch catfish!!! I was next to him fishing with real worms and didn't even get one bite!

Great Gift for Dad Under Ten Bucks!

I have an awesome gift idea for dads and it's even under ten bucks! You can't beat that!

Great Gift for Dad Under Ten Bucks

I'm always on the lookout for great gift ideas for my dad, bonus dad, and husband. I find it's harder to shop for the men in my family, than it is to shop for the women. Last week I stumbled upon this Digital Tire Pressure Gauge, and new my husband had to have one.

Digital Tire Pressure Gauge

This handy dandy gauge is not only an inexpensive gift, but it's pretty awesome too! Uses get an instant digital reading of their tire pressure. It can be used on vehicles, off road vehicles, motorcycles, bikes, and so much more.

It fits perfectly in your hand, so it's not bulky and awkward to use. This also means that dad can store it in his glove box too. That way it's always where he can access it quickly.

Displays Pressure in Four Units

This Digital Tire Pressure Gauge displays your tire pressure in four units. You can choose it to show you the pressure in PSI, Bar, KPS, and kgf/cm². Simply press the red button on the bottom to turn your gauge on. Then toggle through to choose which pressure display you want to use. The gauge shuts off after thirty seconds too, so it will save on the battery. Dad won't have to worry that the gauge will be dead when he goes to use it because of this feature.

Lighted Nozzle and Display

The nozzle on this gauge is lighted so you can easily see the valve stem to take your tire pressure. The display is LCD and back light so you can read the pressure easier as well. So whether dad is testing tire pressure during the night or day, he can quickly and simply read the gauge.

My Son Asked to be Baptized

My son doesn't like to be very far away from us. He doesn't spend the night anywhere. He won't stay with a sitter. This is anxiety and autism.

Recently he actually started to go to youth group at a local church. This was huge because he was getting on a bus at five thirty at night, and getting home at seven. He leaves us for a few hours, and is actually miles away from home. And he learned that he's okay! He's safe! And most of all, he's happy.

My Son Asked to be Baptized

We got a phone call a few weeks ago from the pastor of the church Liam attends. He asked the pastor to baptize him. I was ecstatic! I wanted to do it when he was a baby, but life got busy. Then came his autism diagnosis, and life got even busier. So it just didn't happen.

Now, he's turning twelve on Friday, and on Sunday, he will be baptized in front of his family. It was HIS choice. Liam understands fully what it means to be baptized, and he's all excited. Pastor Jason even gave him three options for receiving the holy water. This is huge because autistics have sensory issues, so water can be painful.

Liam can chose from having a cross symbol made with holy water on his forehead, having the water sprinkled on his head, or being dunked in it. He still hasn't fully decided, though he's leaning more towards the cross. He doesn't like to be splashed (but has no problem with splashing others.)

A Beautiful Cross

In honor of his special day, I wanted to get him a beautiful cross to wear. I chose this Brilliant Cross Necklace for him. It came yesterday and it's even more gorgeous in person. Made from 925 sterling silver it's so sparkly! I love that it looks like real wood. It comes with an adjustable chain, to accommodate all sizes. It's sixteen inches, and has an extra two inch extension.

Gift Wrapped

This Brilliant Cross Necklace comes in a pretty box for gifting. The box has a nice silver ribbon on it too. It's perfect for gifting because it looks as though it's wrapped. It would make a wonderful Mother's day, or even Father's Day gift for your parents.

When Your Body is too Old to Camp, You Glamp

We love camping. It's one of our favorite family past times. However, we're not getting any younger, and tent camping is wreaking havoc on these old bones. If you can relate, then this post is for you.

When Your Body is too Old to Camp, You Glamp

Tent camping is a blast, and saves so much money! However, when your body can't take sleeping on the hard ground, what are you to do? Well, you could rent a cabin, but that gets pricey quick! Campers are great too, but if you can't afford one, (or a tornado ruins yours) then you still out of luck.

What if I told you that you could still tent camp, without having to wake up in pain? Or without having to re-inflate an air mattress in the middle of the night? The Venture 4th Self Inflating Sleeping Pad will turn tent camping, into glamping! You'll be comfortable, and wake up feeling refreshed!

Self Inflating Sleeping Pad

My husband was stoked to get the Self Inflating Sleeping Pad from Venture 4th. (It's an early Father's Day gift.) He's pretty tall (six foot to be exact,) so he was happy that the pad is seventy two inches in length. He's tried cots and such before, but none are long enough for him.

Even better, this sleeping pad provides a protective layer from the cold and dampness below. With an R-value of 4, it insulates your body from the cold ground, and can even be used in the winter. This is huge for him, because of all the titanium in his body, the chill from the ground causes him a great deal of pain. He won't have to worry about that now!

Soft Foam That Inflates Itself

This sleeping pad is made from durable and comfy foam. The 500 series pneumatic valve quickly inflates the pad, so you don't have to. It inflates in seconds too! Less work and set up time means you'll have more time to enjoy your camping trip!

It's lightweight too, so it's easy to carry. Whether you'll be backpacking to your favorite camping spot, or just don't want to lug a bunch of stuff, this Self Inflating Sleeping Pad is perfect. My husband commented that he love it "because we have to pack so much for the kids, and this beats lugging a bulky air mattress, that goes flat anyway!"

Give Dad the Gift of Safety

If you're looking for the perfect Father's Day gift, then look no further. This year you can give dad the gift of safety for his vehicle.

Give Dad the Gift of Safety

The Auto Escape Safety Hammer from Rohomii will be the perfect gift for dad (or husband, or even significant other.) It features a hammer point on both sides. Made from durable carbon steel which is tested on 10mm glass before sale, you know it will hold up in an emergency.

In the event that the seat belt is locked, the Auto Escape Safety Hammer has a seat belt cutter. It's on the opposite end, and shaped like a hook. This way it will cut the seat belt, but not the users hands. No one wants to think about malfunctions and car accidents, but the truth is, they happen. In the event that they do, we want our loved ones prepared.

Two Pack for Two Vehicles

Rohomii's Auto Escape Safety Hammer comes in a pack of two. I love that because if you have more than one vehicle, you'll have a hammer for each. Their focus is safety so when you order the safety hammer, it also comes with a cell phone ring stand and vent clip. The ring stand attaches right to the vent clip for hands free use while driving. So this Father's day, give dad the gift of safety, and yourself the gift of peace of mind.

A Drinking Glass That's Good for You and Our Planet

I'm diligently scouring the web for quality gift ideas for various occasions. Father's Day will be here before you know it and this year, my hubby will be getting a High Boron, Double Glass Drinking Cup. It's good for him, and for our planet, which is a win win for us all!

A Drinking Glass That's Good for You and Our Planet

If your conscientious about our planet, then I'm sure you you already use reusable cups and bottles. I recently discovered how amazing Borosilicate glass is, and I think you should too!

This type of glass contains boron trioxide. Basically speaking it's a safer glass to use in your everyday life. Because of the low coefficient of thermal expansion, it responds well to either heat or cold. A glass such as the High Boron Double Glass can be used to steep tea or coffee, or to keep drinks icy cold. All without affecting the integrity of the glass.

But How Does Borosilicate Glass Help Our Planet?

First of all, by using reusable glasses and bottles, you're keeping garbage out of our landfills. But you're not just reducing your carbon footprint. Borosilicate glass keeps out harmful chemicals and reduces the degradation of the glass itself.

That means when you're drinking a hot drink from it, dangerous chemicals aren't leeching into your beverage. Have you ever drank from a plastic or metal cup and tasted it? That's the junk it's made from creeping into your beverage. Plastic bottles and cups, and even many other glass drink ware releases chemicals into your drinks. You won't have to worry about that with your Borosilicate drink ware.

So whether your dad, hubby or significant other drinks a lot of coffee, tea, or even a nice cold beer, they will love this High Boron Double Glass Drinking Cup.

It's designed to keep hot liquids warmer longer. And it will also help keep cold drinks cool for longer, thanks to the double wall design. My husband loves his, and it's his go to cup in the cupboard!

Culinary Couture for the DIY Foodie

I love to cook and bake. That means having quality kitchen utensils. I recently discovered Culinary Couture, and I'm in love!

Culinary Couture for the DIY Foodie

From measuring cups and spoons, to pizza stones, barbecue tools, and so much more. It's one stop shopping for your kitchen!

Sturdy, Well Made Tongs

Well made and sturdy tongs are a must. Those flimsy ones don't pick up enough food. Also, you want tongs with silicone on them to protect your pots and pans. I just got Culinary Couture's Set of Three Light Blue Kitchen Tongs. I will NEVER use any other tong again!

They're heavy duty, and very well made. Not only are the ends silicone to protect your pans, but there's also a silicone grip on the handles as well. The end features a silicone covered ring to hang them when not in use. To open the tongs, simply pull the ring outward. To close, push it inward. Easy peasy! The bonus is that they look great too!

Culinary Couture's Kitchen Tongs are made from Stainless Steel. The top quality silicone will withstand heat up to 480 degrees Fahrenheit! That's far superior than any other tong I have used. Which means I can even use them when I deep fry foods. (PÄ…czki I'm looking at you!)

Three Sizes for All Needs

The set of three tongs comes with one small which is seven inches. The medium is nine inches long, and the large is twelve inches long. So whether you're cooking in the kitchen, or outside on the grill, you have a set of tongs for every need.
