    Valentine's Day is right around the corner, so what better time to show your feline some love. Chewy.com sent my sweet granddaughter the Purina Muse Creatables Variety Pack, and she is enjoying every bite of it!

    Of course we love our pets every day, but just like humans, they deserve special love on Valentine's Day. Clara will be enjoying a custom meal from her Purina Muse Creatables Variety Pack.     The Tender Filets are made using just TWO ingredients. They're made with tender filets of chicken or fish, and water. That's it. The Crunchy Bites and Simply Sauce also have meat as their number one ingredient. I love it when I know what I'm feeding my kids, whether human or fur baby. 

What Does Clara Think?

    For being a once feral cat, Clara is surprisingly finicky. But let me tell you, she goes crazy for her Purina Muse meals! When she knows I'm preparing one, she's right there. Meowing, rubbing on my legs, and of course tripping me up. (Because I'm clumsy even without a cat between my feet!) As a matter of fact, my other two fur babies are right there, hoping Clara will leave them a taste. So when I feed Clara her Muse, I have to make sure Josie and Bayleigh have a special treat, to keep them away from the cat's dinner.   I love my fur girls. However, I do not enjoy their stinky breath. Bayleigh loves to have her teeth brushed, but not Josie. To say her breath is horrid is putting it mildly. So what am I to do?

Chewy.com asked if we’d like to take part in their Thirty Day Fresh Breath Challenge with Whimzees. To be honest, my fur girls already love Whimzees. Josie actually got her first one when she was spayed as her get well soon treat. When we saw how much she loved it, we started keeping them on hand, and when Bayleigh joined the family, she too enjoyed Whimzees.

    Okay, so I knew they loved them. I also knew that they’re a better treat alternative than most. That’s because they don’t include Gluten. Which, for a dog with sensitivities like Josie, is a huge deal. Another reason they’re a better treat is because they’re made using all natural ingredients. (Kidding….Maybe….) For that reason, I really wanted to take part in this challenge. I wanted to see if they helped Josie’s breath. However, whether or not your dog will let you brush their teeth, they can benefit from Whimzees. And besides, dogs love them. The 30 Day Whimzee Challenge

    For this challenge, I simply feed Josie one Whimzee Brushzee per day. Even though Bay lets me brush her teeth, she is still taking part, because it just wouldn’t be fair.     I don't know about you, but in years past, I have put more small toys and items than treats in my family's baskets, because I wasn't comfortable cramming it full of sugary candy.     My husband and I happen to adore dark chocolate. It's one of our favorite treats. So when I came across Sweet Valley Organics, I was stoked. Nut Brittle That Won't Wreak Havoc on Your Teeth

    I LOVE peanut brittle. What I don't love is how hard it is to eat! Which is where Softer Than Brittle comes in. Using a copper kettle, they create small batches of tasty, nutty confections that are even better than traditional brittle. And they're SOFT!

Something Salty for Their Basket

    I love snack mixes. Perhaps one of my favorite brands is Route 66 from Redstone Foods. They have four snack mixes that are amazing! I'm currently noshing on their Santa Fe Adobe snack mix. It's the perfect mix of sweet and spicy which included Redskin Peanuts, Hot Cajun Corn Sticks, Honey Sesame Chips, Corn Nuggets, and Pepitas (pumpkin seeds) all covered in Chipotle seasoning.
